The "FBC ASEAN 2022 Manufacturing Business Matching Event," hosted by NC Network Asia Co., Ltd. and NC Network Vietnam JSC, specializing in manufacturing industry matching, was held from August 26 to 28 (venue-based) and from September 7 to 9 (online).

This year's event was a hybrid format, with Thailand hosting the event for the first time in three years and Vietnam hosting for the first time in two years. The Thai venue was jointly held with major exhibition organizer Informa Markets, the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association (Thai Subcon), and the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). To attract Thai staff working in the Chonburi and Rayong regions, where it was difficult to attend an event in Bangkok, the venue was set up in Pattaya. As a result, a significant number of attendees from a different demographic compared to Bangkok's events were present. Additionally, with the cooperation of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), 34 buyer companies exhibited at the venue, facilitating business matching with the participating companies of FBC ASEAN.

The Vietnam venue was solely organized by NC Network Group, with the support of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade. Numerous local companies participated in the event, with a total of 182 exhibitors and a record-breaking 5,116 attendees, creating a vibrant atmosphere with numerous business discussions between exhibitors and visitors. Notably, major Vietnamese companies also participated as buyers, and many companies were seeking a diverse range of processed parts, indicating the expanding Vietnamese market.

In September, the event continued with online sessions. Online business negotiations were held among various countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan, resulting in over 1000 meetings. Similar to the previous year, the event attracted not only big buyers but also Japanese parts trading companies interested in sourcing from ASEAN. Considering the ongoing concerns regarding China risk, many companies are shifting their manufacturing bases to ASEAN, leading to a multitude of specific business cases being actively discussed.

The event received support from 32 organizations, including financial institutions and local governments, and gained sponsorship from various public agencies and reputable banks from different countries. There were 14 organizations that provided subsidies specifically for this business matching event, leading to a record-breaking 391 exhibitors.

For the year 2023, Thailand plans to host events in Bangkok in May and Pattaya around October, while Vietnam aims for a Hanoi event in October. Additionally, online sessions are also planned for around October.
